'It's the answer I needed'/Beginning a new book review: Origins of Life

'It's the answer I needed'/Beginning a new book review: Origins of Life

Preface

I have planned to begin a review of 'Origins of Life' which I actually purchased years ago, for several years. I am on the Reasons to Believe mailing list and have reviewed a few articles from their newsletter on this website. On this website I have completed what I would consider, significant text reviews, over many articles, for the following:

WALLACE TOM Jr. (2015) Refuting Islam, The Christian Patriots Guide to Exposing the Evils of Islam, Bellingham, Fundamental Publishers. (Islam and Christianity)

PIRIE, MADSEN (2006)(2015) How To Win Every Argument, Bloomsbury, London. (Philosophy)

(I still reference the Pirie text)

I am in process with the following reviews:

LANGER, SUSANNE K (1953)(1967) An Introduction to Symbolic Logic, Dover Publications, New York. (Philosophy).

The Orthodox Study Bible, New Testament and Psalms, (1993) Saint Athanasius Orthodox Academy,Thomas Nelson Publishers, Nashville, Tennessee. (Orthodox Christianity)

(This review will probably continue perpetually)

'It's the answer I needed'

I received a text message yesterday in regard to one of my related articles in review of the Orthodox text:

Reader: 'It's the answer I needed.'

Me: 'Glad my work pays off for more than me.'

Beginning a new book review: Origins of Life

RANA, FAZALE and ROSS, HUGH (2004) Origins of LifeBiblical and Evolutionary Models Face Off, Reasons to Believe, Colorado Springs. (Science and Christianity)

Author's note

The two authors state that they are Christians. (9). At the same time they are scientists. (9). They claim they are interested in seeking and finding truth and evidence. (9). They are looking for quote:

'...a conclusion based on what seems most reasonable.' (9).

I share this approach within my own worldview.

Introduction: In Pursuit Of My Passion

Who Is The Creator?

Rana explains:

'The elegance of life's chemistry had already led me to recognize a creator's existence. Reading the Bible led me to embrace Christianity. Jesus was the creator and I had discovered inside the cell. With no felt need for a "crutch," I came to faith in Christ as a scientist in search of truth.' (15).

Please note that indeed, biblically, Jesus Christ is God-incarnate (as a form of God, Philippians 2: 6) and is as eternal, infinite God, the creator of all things, by him and for him, within the triune Godhead (Colossians 1: 16), see also John 1: 3). He is the eternal word of God (John 1).

HEWLETT, H.C. (1986) 'Philippians' in The International Bible Commentary, Grand Rapids, Zondervan.

RANA, FAZALE and ROSS, HUGH (2004) Origins of Life,  Biblical and Evolutionary Models Face Off, Reasons to Believe, Colorado Springs. (Science and Christianity)
