• June 28, 2020 photo: It might seem strange for a Canadian to complain to the American government, but I have done so in years past. Charles Nelson Chuckles, several years ago now, suggested I look at online opportunities selling websites for websites businesses (prior to Amazon and eBay being obvious online standards to use). I signed with one 'training group' for a while and soon realized that these American Hucksters had lied and were not keeping my information confidential. This company was sending my name and information out to third parties which called me acting as if they worked for the main business, the entity I paid the fee to for 'training'.
I soon realized that the main business from the main business, was taking the initial payment from the client (AKA the sucker) looking for a business opportunity and training, and then selling the client, side 'essentials' from third parties that claimed to be part of the main business for 'training'.
I asked for appropriate refunds and my refund of my initial payment was denied by the main company. I emailed several Attorney General Offices from American States. These various State governments claimed that there was nothing that they could do.
A few years later, I received a cheque (check) from the United States Department of Treasury (USDT) related to payment for these questionable practices. The United States government receives much bad press, but I respect them for seeking out a 'foreigner' to provide me reasonable compensation.
