This rating was determined based on the presence of the following words:
death (134x) hell (65x) pain (57x) dangerous (13x) dead (11x) murder (7x) hurt (4x) abortion (3x) dike (2x) kill (1x)
Thanks to Lawrence of Arabia from Revolt in the Desert, in my links, for the link to this amusing site that rates blogs. I looked at the ratings for all my linked blogs with both of my theology blogs, my blogs excluded, and one other blog had a NC-17 rating, and two other blogs were rated Restricted.
Please check out my other theology related blog for its rating:

So what's so funny? It seems to me that you are the one who puts most of these things on my blog. So maybe this is really your Restricted blog! I don't mind being laughed at for such mild language when there are daytime programs on television that show absolutely everything -- totally unrestricted!
ReplyDeleteMom
Thanks Mom for the comment and the angel food birthday cake for today. Yes, I post most of your blog articles for you, but you send the material to me! If I find funny material myself that I really like, I will post it on my own blogs. My blogs are rated NC-17 and yours is Restricted!;)
ReplyDeleteThe email below was just sent to me. If someone has a problem with my theological and philosophical viewpoints, I would have more respect for he/she if I was emailed with comments in regard to certain blog material or he/she commented on my blogs. Sending me an email with general claims implying that I might somehow be deficient is unsatisfactory and will do nothing to change my theological and philosophical viewpoints.
ReplyDeletePerhaps it is just Spam.

"To be truly ignorant, be content with your own knowledge." This dictum, attributed to Chuang Tzu circa 300 BC, is more relevant than ever today. Research gathered from various directions has shown far too many people remain content with a limited input of knowledge, relying on what they glean from mass media, formal education and church, without any idea that continuing philosophical inquiry is a significant aspect of inner growth. As the 21st century dawns, it has become apparent that authentic self- knowledge requires revelations from varied fields of research which would take years to accumulate. Is there a solution ? Yes.
Author, poet, artist, Lew Paz set out forty years ago to pursue a life of Zorba the Greek adventure merged with Socratic questioning of all knowledges, which developed into a spiritual quest of the most compelling sort. After four decades of hard road travel over half the earth, including countless sunup to sunset days in libraries great and small, deeply delving for truth and wisdom, Paz spent seven years condensing his accumulation of knowledge into one truly informative work, Pushing Ultimates. This book was not only chosen as Book of the Month by the prestigious Midwest Review, it was also used in the Philosophy curriculum at Sonoma State University, and is gradually being internationally recognized for it's original approach to the ultimate questions concerning the human situation. In fact, it has just been accepted for distribution in the UK by Gazelle Books, one of the most well-known distributors in Western Europe. They will be bringing it out in mid-July.
Pushing Ultimates is a challenging, enriching journey, encompassing the evolution of consciousness, while skillfully weaving mysticism, theology, psychology, philosophy, quantum physics, neurology, music, art, into meaningful and relevant patterns of clarification. Throughout this amazing odyssey, Paz never loses sight of the central theme–the endeavor to realize bottom line truths concerning our place amid the wild wonder of it all, and he accomplishes this without succumbing to New Age credulity or sterile scientific skepticism. His book skillfully condenses the essential elements of all vital fields of knowledge into 400 clarifying pages. Every person truly concerned with the essence of philosophical inquiry and spiritual growth should have a copy close at hand.

Looks like spam to me. I would bet the sender never read any of your blog postings.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Chuck.
ReplyDeleteIf any other blogger received it, please let me know.
Russ;)
Hey Dude,
ReplyDeleteNo Way! I only got a PG Rating. I need to work harder to get the NC-17 Rating.
LOL

Yes, Tim, your blog needs more use of the terrible theological words I use!
ReplyDeleteRuss:)
Hehe, I did that lately, too and saved the code for doing a post on that. Mine was restricted for containing the word "missionary" *ha*... :-)
ReplyDeleteAngel food birthday cake? Happy Birthday?!?!! When did this happen and why didn't you tell us?
Have a good Sunday,
Helen
Hi Helen.
ReplyDeleteMy birthday was July 6th. That is funny that you would receive a Restricted rating!;) The word missionary is so controversial? Have a good Sunday as well.
Thanks;)
Russ
That ratings system is too funny. I rated The Fightbook, and I got rated G, because I had the word 'death' in it one time. Awesome.
ReplyDeleteHappy (late) Birthday, by the way!!! I hope you had a wonderful day. Take care!
Thanks, David.
ReplyDeleteYes, you do not have big bad blogs like mine!;)
Have a great day yourself.

Sharm,
ReplyDeleteThank you very kindly for the invitation. Unfortunately, at this time I am tapped out with both time and energy, and must decline. I had two operations for severe sleep apnea in 2006, and still need one more operation that is not offered for free here in Canada. Therefore, I still am struggling with sleep apnea. As well, with my PhD, I did not have an advisor for 8-9 months and my dissertation is due to be completed this year. I can apply for an extension, but I am attempting to be completed in 2007, God willing. Finally, I am committed to producing two excellent and professional blogs and that is time consuming, and I do not always have ideas for new material readily available in my mind, and so I must ponder on the creation of new articles.
Sharm, all the best with your project and I support the idea of persons of different philosophies and religions dialoguing peacefully.
